Year 4 Neuro-Inclusive Environment, Climate & Sustainability Curriculum: Term 3
Year 4, Term 3 of the Heal Earth Curriculum transitions students from technical innovation to collective action through the "Global Cooperation & Carbon" module. This term explores the invisible threads of our atmosphere and the social bonds of international diplomacy. Learners discover that while the climate is a scientific challenge, the solution lies in human fairness, empathy, and the power of working together across borders.
Learners investigate the "Invisible Blanket" of the greenhouse effect and play "Carbon Tag" to trace the movement of atoms through Earth’s spheres. They confront the reality of climate justice by analyzing "Unfair Maps" and engineering "Flood-Proof Houses" to understand adaptation. The term culminates in a high-stakes "Mini-UN Climate Summit," where students adopt national personas to negotiate treaties and find common ground. By the end of the term, students graduate as confident Global Citizens who understand that a healed Earth requires a fair and united human web.
