The Ethics of Climate Tech: A Future Leaders Challenge
Empower the Next Generation of Ethical Innovators!
Welcome to The Ethics of Climate Tech: A Future Leaders Challenge
We are thrilled to invite your school to participate in an exclusive thought leadership partnership brought to you by Innovation Ethics and Heal Earth.
As we face the defining challenge of our time, the solutions we build must be as morally sound as they are technologically advanced. This 6-week program explores the profound moral implications of using cutting-edge technologies; like geoengineering or AI surveillance, to solve global climate change.
Why Join the Challenge? This program perfectly bridges two vital educational pillars:
Critical Thinking & Societal Impact: Led by Innovation Ethics, students will critically analyze the real-world impact of AI, cybersecurity, and mass data collection.
Equity-Driven Citizenship: Championed by Heal Earth, participants will learn to navigate complex sustainability challenges while acting as responsible, equity-driven global citizens.
What Will Students Do? Designed to fit seamlessly into PSHE, Enrichment, or form time (1-2 hours a week), this program asks students to solve critical environmental problems while navigating strict ethical constraints. For instance: How do we balance planetary monitoring with individual privacy?
Your students will take the lead, choosing between two exciting tracks:
The Future Leaders Debate Series: Students will argue the ethical justifications of climate tech policies and global governance.
The Climate Tech Hackathon: Teams will design and pitch their own tech-enabled sustainability solutions, complete with built-in ethical safeguards.
The program culminates in a thrilling, school-wide Future Leaders Summit, where students will showcase their prototypes or go head-to-head in live debates!
Who Can Participate?
Target Audience: Secondary school students (Key Stages 3, 4, and 5).
Leadership Opportunities: Sixth Formers (Years 12/13) are encouraged to step up as Peer Mentors to guide younger teams.
No Tech Background Required: We are looking for critical thinkers, debaters, and passionate advocates.
Benefits for Your School:
